Brownstone: Two-story Addition

$2M+

Project Scope

Complete gut renovation and two story addition in a classical, 20 foot wide brownstone in Brooklyn. The emphasis of the project was to create a separate apartment in the lower floor, which can be used independently by the homeowner's family when they visit NYC. The main house has a custom built kitchen and a dining room that houses a big table that seats 12 people. A key aspect of the project is to relocate the main kitchen to the parlor, open up the back of the house with the addition and keeping as many traditional details as possible. To do this, a lot of the millwork will be savaged and then pieced back together. The house has always been a luxurious mansion, and it is great to be able to rescue it from it's current estate condition. All plumbing, mechanicals, and electrical systems are being brought up to date. There is custom millwork in the library, bathrooms, closet space, etc. Installation of HVAC throughout the brownstone.
